Terms of Service

By downloading or using Cadu, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

The service

Cadu is an iOS client that connects to a Hermes Agent installation you choose and control. Cadu does not provide, operate, or administer your Hermes Agent host. Features may change as the app and the software it connects to evolve.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for:

  • having permission to access every Hermes Agent installation you connect to;
  • securing your device, credentials, host, network, and backups;
  • reviewing agent actions and approvals before allowing them to run; and
  • using Cadu in compliance with applicable law and the rights of others.

You must not use Cadu to gain unauthorized access, disrupt systems, distribute malicious software, or facilitate unlawful activity.

Agent output and actions

AI-generated output can be inaccurate or unsuitable. Agents connected through Cadu may use tools, change files, contact services, or perform other consequential actions on your host. You are responsible for deciding what access to grant and for reviewing important output and actions. Do not rely on Cadu or agent output as a substitute for professional advice.

Third-party software and services

Cadu interoperates with Hermes Agent, iOS, and services you configure. Those products are governed by their own licenses, terms, and privacy practices. Cadu is not responsible for third-party software, services, availability, content, or changes.

Beta features and availability

Cadu may be offered through TestFlight or include beta features. Beta software may be incomplete, change without notice, contain errors, or lose data. The app and optional push service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued at any time.

Intellectual property

Cadu and its original content, design, and software are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These terms allow you to use the app for its intended purpose; they do not transfer ownership of Cadu or third-party software to you.

Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cadu is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. No guarantee is made that Cadu will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every host or configuration. Nothing in these terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cadu's developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, access, or goodwill arising from use of the app. This limitation does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited.

Ending use

You may stop using Cadu at any time. Access to optional services may be limited or ended if these terms are violated or if needed to protect Cadu, its infrastructure, or other users.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated to reflect changes to Cadu or legal requirements. The effective date above will be revised when that happens. Continuing to use Cadu after updated terms take effect means you accept them.
