Privacy Policy

Cadu does not sell or share your data with third-party vendors. It has no advertising, profiling, or behavioral tracking.

What Cadu is

Cadu is a client for a Hermes Agent installation that you control. Except for the optional services described below, communication happens directly between the app and the host you configure. Your conversations, files, credentials, agent activity, and other Hermes data are not sent to Cadu.

Analytics

Cadu uses a small, self-built analytics system for one purpose: counting how many users are active. It does not track screens viewed, buttons pressed, conversations, files, device location, advertising identifiers, or other behavior. Analytics data is not provided to third-party analytics or advertising vendors.

Push notifications

Push notifications are optional. If you enable them, the information needed to route a notification to your device is handled by Cadu's push backend, which is hosted in the European Union. The backend does not keep request or notification logs. Cadu does not use notification data for analytics, advertising, or profiling.

Data stored on your device

Cadu may store settings, cached conversation data, and connection details locally so the app can work. Credentials are stored using Apple's Keychain. You control this data through the app and your device, and removing the app removes its locally stored app data subject to the normal behavior of iOS and iCloud backups.

Third parties

Cadu does not sell, rent, or share personal data with third-party vendors. Your use of your own Hermes Agent host and Apple's operating-system services is governed by the terms and privacy practices of those services.

Children

Cadu is not directed to children under 13, and Cadu does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If Cadu's data practices change, this policy will be updated and the effective date above will be revised.
